The importance of the mission statement for Mission Heal NGO

The importance of mission statement is as important as any other thing for the MissionHeal NGO. Everything for an NGO is dependent on its mission statement. Especially, the donations for an NGO which are extremely important are solely dependent on the mission statement. The donors before donating always asks about the mission of an NGO and if they are convinced, then only the grant for the NGO are sanctioned by the donors. The beauty and importance of mission statements is that the statement contains that important glue which unites the NGO together with its stakeholders. According to Mission Heal NGO, the following should be considerably considered by the NGO for their mission statement:

·        The mission statement should always be given critical consideration. The NGOs which overlook the importance of mission statement face extremely serious problems.

·        The NGO management should discuss the importance of mission statement among their peers for the NGO.

·        Briefly identify the impact of the environmental changes while structuring the mission statement.

·        The NGOs should find out all those factors that can inhibit the structure and the development of the mission statement for an NGO.

·        The NGO should take all the positive ideas and recommendations from all their stakeholders in order to develop a good mission statement.

Things to consider while writing a good mission statement for your NGO:
Following is a list of some crucial things that can significantly affect the structure of your mission statement:

·        Be sure that why you want to run an NGO – First thing first, the founder of the NGO should ask himself that why he wants to run the NGO. He should check whether he understands the dynamics of our society and has got the motivation to help for the welfare of the community. Further, this question should also cover the aims and objectives for running the NGO.

·        Figuring out the defining characteristics of your NGO – The characteristics of your NGO can significantly affect the structure of your mission statement of your NGO. According to Mission Heal NGO, the characteristics of an NGO are reflected into the mission statement. At this point the NGO should think that how the society and the stakeholders would perceive your NGO and the work done as well.

·        Point out the factors which makes your NGO stand out among other similar organizations – The idea behind writing a mission statement is to make the goals of your NGO very clear and expressive. There is no need to make your mission statement shocking and unique. Rather, it should only say that what significant characteristics of your NGO would make you stand out among other similar NGOs.

·        Eliminate all irrelevant points – The NGOs need to brainstorm a lot when they are devising their mission statement. The brainstorming session comes out with a lot of ideas and points on the paper. Eliminate all irrelevant ideas and write a concise final draft of your mission statement.

Different roles of NGOs according to Mission Heal

No matter whatever is the size, scale or scope of an NGO, it has a wide variety of roles to play. Although smaller sized organizations do have a small set of operations due to their limited resources, but still the Mission heal NGO believes that the small NGOs still play a significant role in the society. The Mission Heal NGO has a wide array of its role set in the welfare work of the society. Following are some of the roles which most of the NGOs are playing for the benefit of the community:

·        Women Empowerment –
The role of women in our society is very critical. They are the most neglected class in most of the developing countries. The women should be given equal rights as compared to the men.  The Mission Heal has played a critical role for the betterment of the women. They NGOs strive hard to help them attain their rights and it also focuses on the education of women. If women are educated, they will self empower themselves and can fight themselves for their rights. This is what most of the NGOs believe.

·        Child Labor / Abuse –
The child labor and abuse are a big trouble in the countries like India. Children are the future of any nation and they should be protected well against all evils. The NGOs are striving hard to inculcate the underprivileged children and their parents the importance of education. Further, the NGOs also introduce several incentive schemes to encourage children in studies rather than labor.
·
      Disaster Management –
The NGOs are known to do a disaster management job much better than the government. In case of any emergency like floods, earthquake etc, the NGOs do excellent relief work. Depending on the intensity of the disaster, the relief work can take up to several months or years. The reputable NGOs during all this time have their presence in the affected area and help the affected people in every possible way.

·        Poverty Alleviation –
India with its huge population has severe poverty issues both in the rural and urban areas. The NGOs are doing noticeable work in increasing the resources of the poor people and alleviating it throughout the country. The creation of job and work opportunities of any size and scale is an excellent idea to alleviate poverty. This is where the NGOs play a significant role by collaborating with the government.

·        Eradicating illiteracy –
Education is the major concern for both the NGOs and the government. It is a problem beyond control if both the NGOs and the government do not work in collaboration. The educational programs have been initiated by different NGOs which encourages underprivileged children towards education.

·        Training of the staff –
Training of the staff is a very important process after their recruitment. The staff should know the mission, aims and objectives of the Ngo and they should be trained as how to effectively utilize the resources of the NGO.

Mission Heal Trust : Challenges faced by the Mission Heal NGO

Introduction:
Challenges are common to NGOs and they have to tackle a lot of small and big challenges on a daily basis. Motivation of the NGO staffs, especially the founders and the top executive management is critically important to face such issues. The MissionHeal NGO is no different organization in this regard and they have their share of challenges to be dealt with on a daily basis. Most of the challenges for an NGO are mainly about the donors and donations. The Mission Heal NGO accepts that fundraising is the most difficult job for an NGO today. Sometimes they face a lot of difficulty in approaching their current and potential donors as well. On the other side, the NGOs complaints that sometimes the donors have very high and impractical expectations and ask very difficult questions which most of the representative of the NGOs fail to answer satisfactorily.

The reasons behind failure of NGOs:
An NGO can fail because of a number of reasons. India is dominated by a lot of small scale NGOs who comes into existence by just a single person’s effort. Such organizations take time to settle down with the acquiring of the resources and funds. If they fail to meet the resource requirement and the adequate funds, then obviously such NGOs collapse badly and have to terminate their operation. The small size of NGOs also faces huge problems in targeting the requirements of the community due to their limited resources. It means that a good intention of the founding person is not enough to run a successful NGO. Rather, there is a need for the NGOs to have several dedicated people laying the foundation stone of the NGO having a clear vision and objectives. Otherwise, a weak foundation would always result in the failure of the NGO sooner or later. The MissionHeal NGO is blessed to have a strong foundation which is always helping the NGO in all its operational and administrative efforts. Following are some of the other reasons of the failure of NGOs:
  • Weak administrative and management skills can quickly result in the failure of an NGO.
  •  The NGOs are required to have good accountability systems for the satisfaction of all stakeholders. A lot of NGOs are biased in this regard as they have a much better accountability system for the foreign donors while accountability for the national donors is not up to the mark. This is where the NGOs struggle and several times fails miserably.
  • A lot of NGOs have the ego of working alone and they don’t seek help from any other NGO or the government when actually they should take it. Time has seen several such egoistic NGOs failing badly in meeting the requirements of the people of the community.
  • Donors donate funds by asking the NGOs to fulfill their expectations with the money they are giving. Several NGOs who fail to meet the requirements of the donors also fail to survive.

How to Register an NGO like Mission Heal in India.?

Introduction:
In a developing economy like India, the NGOs like Mission Heal are playing a big role in bridging the gap between the government and the public. They help the public by helping them in getting their fundamental rights in a more organized way by working closer to the public as compared to the government bodies. These NGOs need to register themselves before they can operate freely and on a much wider scale. The currently operating NGOs also need to renew their registration after it gets expired. It is a sophisticated procedure and it needs to be carefully tackled in order to get your NGO registered.

Basic Requirement for Registering an NGO in India:

  • ·        The authority letter of the NGO is the next requirement which should be duly signed by all the members of the management committee of the NGO.
  • ·        A copy of the rules and regulations of the NGO is required, which should be certified and duly signed by at least 3 members of the management committee.
  • ·        The members of the management committee of the NGO also require to submit a declaration which states that the funds acquired by the NGO from donors or any other means should be used solely for the purpose of progressing the aims and objectives of the company.
  • ·        There can be severe penalties imposed on the NGO if it is found guilty of using their funds for any other reason than using it for the progress of their aims and objectives. Such breach of rules and code of conduct can also result in the cancellation of their registration.

Aims and Objectives | Mission Heal NGO

Introduction:
NGOs or the non government organizations refer to those kinds of organizations which is independent from government control. The Mission Heal is one such NGO which is funded by the donations from the public individuals, the government and also by their members as well. They work for the welfare of the community at the community, regional, national or international level. The aims and objectives of different NGOs vary as the focus of each NGO is different. However, the Mission Heal NGO believes that the agenda of all the NGOs is same which is the wellness of the community.

Long term Aims of Mission Heal NGO:
The Mission Heal NGO has a vision and some long term goals which set up the current and future operation of the NGO. As an example, there is one NGO which is working for the human rights while another NGO is working for a better environment for the community. If this is the case, then it is mentioned on the website of both the NGOs. These are actually the long term aims or goals of the NGO and this thing helps us in distinguishing between the diverse interests of different NGOs. The establishment of such long term aims or goals is critically important because some of the important instances, such as a full fledge war in a country can cause similar actions by a number of international organizations such as the World Assembly Youth and the International Law Association. So these international bodies by knowing the long term goals of the NGOs can help the local community and the affected people by joining hands and providing help to the war victims in a more profound and organized way. The internet is a big medium these days and such international bodies can easily find out their intended NGOs in case of any emergency, disaster or war. It is for this reason that all of the NGOs should have their long term goals which are clearly defined on their website.

Short term or the immediate goals:

The short term goals of the Mission heal NGO are as important as their long term goals. The general vision of any NGO is endorsed by their immediate or the short term goals. The short term goals of an NGO mainly include their daily activities. As an example, if an NGO is working on the health sector in a particular community, then the short term goals of this NGO would be to check the supply of equipment, ensuring that the hospital staff is working properly and also the feedback of the people of the community who they are serving. A timely and quick reaction to all the unexpected events should be in the scope of short term goals of an NGO. The NGOs have to equip themselves with all the material and financial resources in order to be prepared for any unexpected situation. The monitoring of such short term goals should also be done on a daily basis.

Mission Heal | Accountability of Mission Heal NGO

Introduction:
The Mission Heal NGO is a well renowned organization working for the people of India. It has many achievements in a lot of social welfare structure and for this reason it is a role model for many upcoming NGOs. The NGOs have many sophisticated operations and activities to perform which raises several other challenges for the NGOs as well. All the NGOs, including MissionHeal are accountable to a lot of stakeholders. The NGOs might be answerable right in between a challenging ongoing project and they are liable to all their stakeholders about the usage of resources, finances and all the activities that they perform.

Accountability of NGOs to several stakeholders:
Following is a list of those key stakeholders who held NGOs accountable for their operational activities, administrative process and the usage of resources including finance:
  1. ·        The NGOs main accountability is towards the donors who sponsor all of the projects and activities of the NGOs.
  2. ·        The NGOs are registered with the regulatory bodies that also held them accountable under the rules and regulations devised by them.
  3. ·        The NGOs are also accountable to a number of their clients who purchase products and services from the NGOs.
  4. ·        The NGOs also work in partnership with their allies and government bodies who also held them accountable for their social welfare work for the benefit of the society.
  5. ·        The government also held NGOs accountable for the nature of work done by the NGOs.
  6. ·        The staff and all the volunteers working for the NGO also hold it accountable for the services they provide to the people of the community.
  7. ·        The NGOs are also accountable to those key members who are looking to be represented by the NGO.
All the above mentioned entities are the stakeholders of the NGO who seek transparent accountability for all the stakes that they hold in the NGO. The Mission Heal NGO is proud to say that they have always justified the use of resources, services and donations to all their stakeholders very transparently. All NGOs are similarly required to be fully answerable in every way to all their stakeholders.

Responsibilities of NGOs:
The management of the NGOs has to take the lion’s share of all the accountability challenges thrown at the NGO. They should find out that what stakeholders are expecting from them. The NGOs in such circumstances should always think like their stakeholders that what consequence would come if such and such thing happens or they fail to meet their prospects. The management of any NGO should ask themselves the following questions:
  • ·        Is the NGO accountable to their stakeholders on any kind of moral grounds to any of the stakeholders? Further, are we as an NGO accountable about the domain of the operations performed?
  • ·        Is the NGO accountable for any legal issue to the stakeholder?
  • ·        Is the NGO accountable on any prudential issues with respect to any stakeholder in terms of any threat to the organization?

Promoting Education through Mission Heal | Mission Heal NGO.

A population of more than a billion, but still a huge chunk of India suffers from illiteracy. Men, women and children are all affected. This disease has led to poverty, strife and backwardness for the affected. People have lost job opportunities as well as independence. Children have been robbed of a future and women have lost the means of a career and independence. Similarly illiterate men could not get any decent job opportunities that would satisfy their families and have to work for lesser wages when they could have been better placed.

After seeing the consequences it is evident that society has lost a lot when they are deprived of a formal education. Even after knowing the after effects why have parents restrained their child from learning to read and write? Why are the majority of women in the poverty stricken families or villages illiterate? Well the answer for this question lies in the fact that many of these families are poor and cannot afford a proper education for their children.

Whereas some poor families have more than two children. So many mouths to feed, but less resources hampers the prospect of education of the children. On the other hand women of the lower class have been brought up with a narrow mindset. They believe that women are not entitled to an education and they are slaves to their husbands and society. Such a frame of mind has led to dowry murders or harassment as well as deprives an ambitious woman of a chance to excel.

There are many NGO’s as well as government organizations that work towards educating the underprivileged. Mission Heal is an NGO based in Delhi that has dedicated its resources towards eradicating illiteracy from the society. This huge organization has mobilized its groups to reach its helping hand farther. Mission Heal has no political or religious agendas thus helping all people unbiasedly.

Mission Heal has organized many events to help educate the poor. A free health camp is organized to monitor the health of the poor. Also books and clothes are donated frequently for the poor children. Mid-day meals are provided by Mission Heal, for nourishing the people who cannot afford a square meal. Mission Heal also provoked the right to free education for the lower classes. All these are attempts to make the children and the families broaden their vision and embrace the art of learning. These free camps aim at affiliating a child towards education.

Various government plans have also been sanctioned for this cause. The RTE (Right to Education) validated this. This law has enabled the poor students to take up education without the fear of the cost. The cost of the child’s education is burdened by the state and central government. This shows that the government and the NGO’s have joined the cause for the common good. So why don’t we also come together to help the Mission Heal achieve its goals? After all literacy and education are the only secrets that can take this country to greater heights.

Mission Heal and Women’s Welfare

Woman has been a perpetual subject to violence and discrimination since the beginning human life on the planet. However, in so many civilized communities around the world, their rights and status has been restored. Ironically, the problem of gender discrimination and exploitation of woman still prevails in India. There is no denying the fact that women cover the fifty percent of the total population and, therefore, no considerable development can be made without the active part of women. Denying the contributions a woman can make to society would lead to stagnant growth and many social evils. Mission Heals has offered a strong resistance against all kinds of injustices against woman in India.

Woman empowerment

It is inevitable to acknowledge the women's rights in order to make economic growth unstoppable. In this context, Mission Heal Foundation campaigns to spread awareness in socially, economically backward communities where the woman is merely considered slaves. The trust puts great emphasis on some activities which can be enlisted as:

·        Promotion of gender equality and woman rights

·        Eradication of violence of every kind from the society

·        Equal education and job opportunities for women

Fast growth of the society can be taken as granted by empowering women and giving them a chance to participate like man to reshape the country entirely. Mission Heal contributes in many ways to make the woman in India strong and independent like in Europe. The trust is honestly striving to give woman, her deserved place in society. Moreover, Mission Heal Foundation advocates strongly the representation of woman in every local, national and international body so that they can record their problems and atrocities they are suffering through.

Mission Heal Foundation’s Struggle to Promote Woman Independence

Educated and civilized society clearly understands the role independent women can play in the progress of any society. Educating a woman is something equal to educating an entire generation. In rural and backward areas of India equal educational opportunities is still a far cry even in this 21st century.

It is a high time to stand with the voices like Mission Heal to completely abolish ignorance and injustices. Dedicated people working at Mission Heal understand the significance of Independence and education of women. Therefore, they keep launching different programs like rallies and protests against all sorts of domestic violence. Every individual should understand that women are not inferior being. They are entitled to the same rights and privileges as men.

The important factor that the thrust emphasizes is to impart awareness and education in villages and far remote areas where it’s hard to back the case of woman rights. In this century, it is highly unbearable that millions of women live as ugly lives as they were living centuries ago. There is no significant difference in their condition and place in society. It is true that in cities where people are educated, woman is not subject to the oppression and dominance of men. However, the major part of the Indian population has been living in villages and backward areas. Mission Heal Foundation, therefore, is doing a great service to humanity for the prosperity of the Indian society.

Mission Heal | Mission Heal help uplift Moral Standards

Statistics related to unemployment, poverty, malnutrition, illiteracy and number of underprivileged children explicitly demonstrate the moral bankruptcy of Indian society. Socioeconomic inequalities have been damaging moral standards to an alarming extent. There are a number of non-governmental organizations which have been working to restore the moral values in the society. However, they have made an insignificant change in uplifting people morally. Mission Heal, being an exception, has been successfully striving for years to educate people the importance of education and morally healthy life. The awareness programs of the trust on various issues are aimed at bringing about a positive change in a way that the underprivileged people put up a fight to make their life better.

Education of Children

Education is considered a fundamental right of every child. Mission Heal Foundation completely realizes the importance of the fact that only education can change the lives of millions for better. Mentally and physically healthy children are well equipped to assure the prosperity of any country. Mission Heal strongly emphasizes on education of children. The struggle of the trust in this regard can be summarized as:

·        The prime focus is to educate children

·        Provision of free schooling and educational material

·        A team of volunteer teachers to educate children the morality of life

Mission Heal Foundation organizes awareness and distribution camps where the volunteers, who are well trained, discharge their services as teachers, doctors and work force to carry out numerous welfare activities.

Volunteerism at Mission Heal

The participation of individuals in welfare activities of any welfare institute is of inevitable importance. Mission Heal Foundation welcomes volunteers from all around the country to come forward and play their role in the betterment of the poor communities living in backward areas where it is hard to provide educational and health aid. Volunteers participate in organizing awareness camps where they forward the agenda of the trust whole heartedly. Moreover, the contribution of individuals in uplifting the poor class helps promote the importance of high moral standards.

Mission Heal Foundation, therefore, has been playing a pivotal role to mobilize communities for good. Morality demands of every individual to participate in any sense to the betterment of the society. There are so many ways individuals having different skills and education can be helpful in the trust’s activities. Some of the contributions of the trust in this regard can be enlisted as:

·        Volunteerism instills a sense of responsibility in every individual

·        Volunteers are given a chance to realize their strength

·        Significance of morality can only be learnt through feeling the pain of others.

Moral Standards and Developing Nations

India has been still considered on the road to achieve the status of being developed. However, the pace of growth is not satisfactory. Social evils and bad health conditions are still lingering. Fact that hunger is widespread and millions of people have been facing food insecurities put a question mark on the moral standards of Indian society. Mission Heal has been trying its best to eradicate all kinds of social inequalities to make India morally and financially prosper.

Role of Mission Heal Foundation in the Betterment of People

Non-governmental organizations have assumed a vital role in the welfare of the underprivileged class all around the globe. However, there are few NGOs which are truly non-profit and working merely for the welfare of people. Mission Heal Foundation has one of those welfare organizations which have been actively participating in the development of people in India. It concentrates most of its energies and resources in empowering children through promoting education and restoration of child rights in India. It can justly be said that the Mission Heal Foundation has been striving to accelerate the healing process of Indian society.

Contributions of Mission Heal Foundation in Education sector

There are a number of achievements and success stories which are attached with the name of the trust. A considerable number of case studies have been mentioned in the website of the trust to show some of the contributions to common people. The contributions of the trust range from health awareness camps to the provision of free education to the children who can hardly afford to go to a school. Those children are served with the quality education and environment where they successfully realize their rights and place in the society. Some of the contributions of the Mission Heal in the field of child education are:

·        Children are given free education material

·        The trust provides a learning friendly environment for the children

·        Mission Heal gives a chance to grow and prosper

Contributions of the Trust in Health sector

Only healthy minds can build a healthy society. Innocent homeless children are in millions in India who are suffering from fatal diseases like Thalassemia. It is inevitable that organizations like Mission Heal Foundation should come forward and play their role in freeing India of all diseases. Every child dying of hunger and diseases is a precious asset which must be saved at any cost. It is a duty of every individual and state to form concrete policies to completely eradicate social evils and build a strong future by protecting children and poor people from diseases. Contributions in the health sector can be enlisted as:

·        Health awareness camps

·        Free distribution of medicine

·        A team of competent doctors to discharge welfare duties

Mission Heal Foundation does not leave any stone unturned in this respect. Awareness campaigns are organized on a regular basis to educate people on the importance of sending children to school rather than sending at work places where they become subject to many atrocities. A country cannot progress where millions of children are forced into child labor and deprived of quality education. Therefore, it’s time to endorse and appreciate the contributions of Mission Heal Foundation in an appropriate manner and free India of poverty and diseases. It is the only way to eradicate hunger and miseries. India is still considered a home where hunger prevails to an alarming extent. It is a bitter reality that in the twenty first century, millions of people in India are vulnerable to hunger and food insecurities. It’s the high time to fight back and make India land of prosperous people.
